Events Internship

Role Description
  • This position, under the supervision of the Vice President of Events, Director of Events, Event Director, and events team will support the entire portfolio of Knight Eady clients and events.
  • Assist at each spring event where needed both prior to event date and onsite at event.
  • Pre-event tasks include but are not limited to accommodations management, inventorying, organization of event supplies, research, team communication, transferring information from forms to spreadsheets, etc.
  • Onsite tasks include but are not limited to sponsor activation execution, organizing, supplying and filling coolers and beverage product, volunteer management, load-in / break-down, etc.
  • Events to include:
        -  AHSAA State Finals | February 22 - March 1, 2025 Birmingham, AL
        -  Conference USA Basketball Championships | March 10 - March 15, 2025 Huntsville, AL
        -  SEC Gymnastics Championships | March 20 - March 22, 2025 Birmingham, AL
        -  Women’s Basketball March Madness Regionals | March 23 - March 31, 2025 Birmingham, AL
  • Collaborate with the events team, account managers and creative on upcoming events and project including managing timelines, budget, working with venues, vendors and more
  • Contribute to the organization and management of all rented or purchased Knight Eady equipment, supply inventory, and storage areas.
  • Assist in event planning and research for new event locations, venues, equipment, vendors, etc.
  • Participate in internal and external pre-event meetings
  • Work with senior leaders to establish new skills and insights
  • Keep management in the loop and effectively escalate roadblocks when necessary
  • Learn to properly, effectively, and efficiently work in the Google Suite, Monday.com, and Slack.
  • This position might require working an adjusted schedule including evenings and weekends as needed during events
  • Other duties as assigned
