We’ve had a busy 2022-2023 season! Check out some quick recaps of all of the things that KE has been up to this year.

256 vs 205 Challenge Media Days

To get hyped up for this year’s 256 vs. 205 challenge, a high school basketball challenge to determine who runs the state, we hosted all sixteen participating teams in our office for a photoshoot and press conference. The footage our creative team captured got players, coaches and students ready to take on the challenge.

Lutzie 43 + Georgia Department of Transportation Safe Driving Summits

Columbus, Gainesville, Statesboro

In our partnership with the Lutzie 43 Foundation and Georgia Department of Transportation, we managed three Safe Driving Summits across Georgia to help high school students learn about the dangers of distracted, impaired and unsafe driving. Our operations, strategy and creative teams worked alongside our partners to think through event logistics, signage, social media strategy and PR efforts.

Rowland Road Series

Our strategy and creative teams worked alongside Team Rowland for their annual Rowland Road Series event, a bike race that raises funds and awareness for Parkinson’s Disease. The 2022 race ultimately raised $310,000 for Michael J. Fox Foundation.

SEC Basketball Media Days

In preparation for basketball season, our creative team brought the heat to media days. They captured a plethora of video and photography content to help get players, coaches and fans ready to ball.

Five Iron Grand Openings: Shelby Township and Boston

Specializing in a premium indoor golf with an entertainment atmosphere, Five Iron Golf spent 2022 rapidly expanding across the country. Our strategy team helped with conceptualizing and executing grand opening events, including the PR and promotion for the new locations in Shelby Township, Michigan and Boston, Massachusetts.  

AHSAA Super 7

A favorite event every year, the AHSAA Super 7 football championship brought the toughest teams in the state to Jordan-Hare Stadium to settle who is the best in the state. Our strategy, operations and creative teams worked alongside the AHSAA on game operations, PR efforts, and sponsorship procurement, all while capturing every emotional moment on the field.

Branding Seminar with Outlyr

The creative and strategy team made a quick trip to the Lone Star State to lead a branding and messaging seminar for Outlyr, a leader in the sports and cultural experiences landscape. Our team went through several exercises with them to drill down to the ‘why’ of Outlyr and help create a concise, updated messaging suite for their brand.

SEC Championship - Football


Ahead of the 2022 championship, the Knight Eady team hosted a VIP Tour of Mercedes Benz Stadium for SEC executives, sponsors and giveaway winners.


During the 2022 championship, our creative team was boots on the ground capturing the biggest moment in the game. From mingling with fans at Dr Pepper SEC FanFare to snapping the biggest touchdown at the game, they never missed a moment and turned out some amazing work.

C.M. Newton Classic

Knight Eady welcomed Alabama and Gonzaga to Birmingham for a neutral site match-up. This was an all hands on deck event, with operations, strategy and creative teams firing on all cylinders. We managed ticket marketing, public relations, sponsorship procurement and gameday operations. 15,847 fans joined us in a packed-house atmosphere to see two top-15 programs battle it out and honor C.M. Newton’s legacy off the court.


The last event of 2022 wrapped up just at the strike of midnight. Our creative, operations and strategy teams worked hand-in-hand with the Birmingham Museum of Art to plan a celebration that put a fresh spin on a much-loved holiday. Our team managed event conceptualization, branding, sponsor consulting, public relations efforts and ticket marketing.

256 vs 206 Challenge

Alabama is not just a football state, and the 256 vs 206 Challenge proves it. The competition allows Birmingham and Huntsville-based schools to compete head to head to see which area code has the best basketball in the state. Our strategy, creative and operations teams worked throughout the year on sponsor consulting, branding and ticket marketing.

Elevate the Stage - Toledo and Huntsville

Gymnastics will always hold a special place in the Knight Eady event season. Our annual youth gymnastics meet, Elevate the Stage, was as big as ever. Hosted over two weekends in Toledo, Ohio and Huntsville, Alabama, we welcomed over 3,000 youth gymnasts to compete and raised over $12,500 for our philanthropic partner, the American Cancer Society.

AHSAA State Finals

We hosted the top 24 boys' and girls' basketball teams in Birmingham for AHSAA State Finals. The week saw 42 games, 84 press conferences, 5,000+ photos taken and 14 blue maps given out. All legs of the Knight Eady team including operations, creative and strategy played a part in the tournament to execute PR efforts, social media management, sponsor activation and game day operations.

SEC Championship - Women’s Basketball

Our creative team took to Greenville, South Carolina to capture content at the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament. Throughout each round, our team was there to capture all the action from game-winning shots to the confetti falling at the very end.

SEC Championship - Men’s Basketball

To cap off SEC Basketball, the creative team traveled to Nashville, Tennessee and captured every game and every round all the way until the nets were cut in Bridgestone Arena.

NCAA March Madness - First and Second Rounds

We were honored to represent the City of Birmingham and partner with the SEC to host eight teams during the first and second rounds of NCAA March Madness right here in the Magic City. Years of hard work paid off as our event and strategy teams handled game day operations, media coordination, logistical coordination with participating teams, and ticket sales.

PAC 12 Championship - Women’s Gymnastics

The operations team took to Salt Lake City, Utah for the PAC 12 Women’s Gymnastics Championship. Our team managed event vendors, meet-day operations, specifically ensuring that the podium was ready for competition, and consulted on pre-event logistics with the PAC 12 Conference.

SEC Championship - Women’s Gymnastics

The creative team traveled to Duluth, Georgia for the 2023 SEC Women’s Gymnastics Championship. They captured every pass, flip and perfect 10.00 in stunning fashion.

HomeTown Lenders Championship Press Days

To ramp up for the 2023 HomeTown Lenders Championship Days, we hosted over 100 media members, sponsors and friends of the tournament for a fireside chat and round of golf. Our strategy team and operations team managed event coordination, programming and venue set-up.

Conference USA x City of Huntsville Press Conference

In partnership with the City of Huntsville, Knight Eady hosted a press conference to unveil the new home of Conference USA’s Mens’ and Women’s Basketball Championships. We’re extremely excited that our team will be working alongside the City of Huntsville and Conference USA to create an elevated experience for student-athletes starting in 2024.

NCAA Women’s National Collegiate Gymnastics Championships

To wrap up gymnastics season, our operations and strategy teams headed to Fort Worth, Texas for the 2023 National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships. Our team worked hand-in-hand with the NCAA and the Fort Worth Sports Commission all year to manage event operations, podium management, ticket marketing and PR efforts.

Hibbett City Gear x Nike Shoot

Our creative team briefly traveled to St. Louis to shoot a collaboration video between Hibbett City Gear and Nike. During their time, they traveled to three different stores in the area to capture content to promote Hibbett as a best-in-class partner for Nike.

Blocking Hunger: Tee Off Fore Hunger

Our strategy, creative, and operations teams supported the Blocking Hunger Foundation’s annual fundraising event in Dallas, Texas. Former and current Dallas Cowboys players came out to support, and attendees played through a variety of contests, all while raising funds to help block hunger, the foundation’s mission to end food insecurity in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Our team supported event conceptualization and execution from fundraising, promotion, sponsorship sales, guest management and ensuring that the evening went off without a hitch.

HomeTown Lenders Championship

We welcomed over 312 caddies and golfers and nearly 7,400 fans to The Ledges for the 2023 HomeTown Lenders Championship, a Korn Ferry Tour stop based in Huntsville. We had a great week of events including a field trip that welcomed over 600 school kids, our annual R. Steven Denney Pro-Am, and a variety of hospitality events. While we had to adapt to the weather, we ultimately saw a 54-hole tournament that ended in a thrilling two-hole play-off with Ben Kohles emerging victorious. As the owners and operators of the tournament, our team was all hands on deck, managing all aspects of operations, hospitality, marketing, public relations and event execution.

Corporate Challenge Media Days

To generate excitement for our 2023 Corporate Challenge, we invited the 50 participating teams to their very own Media Day. Our creative team conceptualized and executed a unique photo set-up that got teams fired up for the challenge in June.

USOP Commercial Shoot

Our team worked hand-in-hand with the US Orthopaedic Partners to build a strategy for a marketing campaign for all their umbrella practices. Our strategy and creative teams ultimately landed on a thirty-second commercial spot. We worked with USOP to conceptualize storyboards, develop a script, cast actors and provide on-set support to bring the vision to life.

SEC Championship - Softball

The creative team took to the diamond in Fayetteville, Arkansas for the 2023 SEC Softball Championships. Despite rain delays, our team captured some great content from first pitch until the trophy was hoisted on Saturday.

Lutzie 43 Golf Invitational

As a part of our partnership with the Lutzie 43 Foundation, we executed their annual Lutzie 43 Golf Invitational. We hosted over 100 golfers and friends of the foundation at Pursell Farms for a day of golf, fun and fellowship. Auburn Head Football Coach, Hugh Freeze, and Auburn Athletic Director, John Cohen, joined us for a fireside chat following dinner emceed by ESPN Analyst, Tom Hart and SEC Analyst, Cole Cubelic. Our strategy and operations teams managed event logistics, marketing, on-site media relations and boots-on-the-ground execution to ensure the event ran smoothly.

SEC Championship - Baseball

To cap off the SEC Championship season, our team headed up to the Hoover Met for the 2023 SEC Baseball Championship. The team captured photography and videography of every walk-off, double play and strikeout until a champion was crowned on Sunday.
