At Knight Eady, we’ve always believed that sports are about more than wins and losses. We believe in sports because of the power they have to bring people together, open doors, and create real, lasting impact in our communities. When sports, culture, and purpose align, incredible things can happen, and this past year, I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished alongside our partners, clients, and team.
Giving back isn’t a side initiative at Knight Eadyl; it’s part of our culture. Our events are platforms not only to celebrate competition and connection, but also to partner with organizations that are committed to doing good. Together, we use the energy and visibility of sports to raise awareness, donate resources, and serve the communities that support us.
Turning Events Into Impact
Over the past year, Knight Eady events helped raise or donate more than $173,000 to organizations doing meaningful work across our region and beyond.
Ballin’ in Boutwell was a powerful example of what’s possible when brands, athletes, and community rally together:
- $20,000 raised for Birmingham Promise
- $50,000 directed through Hibbett and Nike to First String, which went on to support Huffman High School
- $25,000 donated to Kulture City through our partnership with Hibbett and Ballin in Boutwell
Our CM Newton Classic continued the momentum with its tradition of honoring legacy while giving back:
- $10,000 total donated, with $2,500 each going to Together We Can, First Tee Birmingham, Working to Enhance Neighborhood Success, and The Wildflower Alliance.
- In addition, the event hosted a food drive that collected hundreds of canned goods for our local food bank - proof that impact isn’t always measured only in dollars
The Corporate Challenge events showed that the power of sports can extend long beyond the playing field:
- Birmingham Corporate Challenge raised $38,128 for Children’s Hospital of Alabama
- Chattanooga Corporate Challenge generated $10,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga
Serving With Our Time, Not Just Our Resources
Giving back also means rolling up our sleeves. This year, Knight Eady hosted two company-wide volunteer days, with more than 20 employees donating their time:
- One day serving at Jones Valley Teaching Farm
- Another supporting the Central Alabama Food Bank
These give-back days matter deeply to us. They reinforce that service is a shared responsibility and a shared joy.
Additional Giving That Matters
Beyond our events, Knight Eady also contributed approximately $20,000 in additional donations to organizations close to our hearts, including:
- ZeroZero Foundation
- Help One Now
- Homewood City Schools Foundation
Grateful for the Partners Who Share This Vision
None of this happens alone. I’m incredibly grateful for the clients, sponsors, and partners who show up with generous hearts and a shared commitment to impact. Working with organizations like Hibbett, Nike, and so many others who prioritize community alongside business makes our work even more meaningful. It’s inspiring to collaborate with people who don’t just believe in sports, but believe in what sports can do for others.
Looking Ahead
Sports are a powerful platform. They inspire hope, create opportunity, and unite people across differences. At Knight Eady, we’re proud to use that platform to serve, to give, and to lead with purpose. This past year was special, but it’s only the beginning.
We Believe in Sports.
And we believe in using them to make a difference.
